I’m a Brooklyn-based product design and research leader with 11 years of experience ranging from pre-seed startups to big tech. I’ve owned the design of new mobile and desktop apps at Amazon Kindle, led the design systems working group and Creator Development iniatives at Kickstarter, started a design education nonprofit and summer camp, managed teams of up to 10, and taken a mental health startup from founding team to a 50-person, $53M Series B organization. See my resume for more.
Right now, I’m consulting at Stripe and a pre-seed women’s health company. Otherwise, you’ll find me salsa dancing, cycle adventuring, (trying to) play the saxophone, studying city governance, or loosely following a self-designed curriculum about poetry or AI in education.

My strengths
- Obsessed with learning. That shows up whether I’m using research and experimentation to learn from customers, creating concrete plans for my team to develop, diving into a new technology or skill, iterating on a process or product based on feedback, or building experiences that people naturally learn to use (and often use to learn).
- Product-minded and practical. I’ve led product teams myself, and while design is my home base, I’ve worn a lot of hats and thrive in a close relationships with PM, engineering, and exec partners and work well with technical constraints (especially when I understand the underlying architecture).
- Able to drive strategy with design. Every organization I’ve been a part of so far has at some point lacked direction, and I’ve taken iniative to paint a vision we could align around (or at least react to).
- End-to-end service design: I shine most creating experiences that extend beyond the screen. I use practices like journey mapping and build relationships with SMEs to understand all the parts and players in a system in order to connect the digital to the real world (with all it’s complexities).
- Leads teams with sincere care. I have a track record of managing through big pivots, training employees into new roles, and developing their careers by connecting company and personal outcomes to every project. I value bringing partner teams into the design process and love facilitating the right workshop to hear all perspectives (even the quiet ones).
- Enthusiastic about the unsexy stuff. I get very excited about process development, design systems, documentation, and collaboration tools (and have successfully gotten others excited, too).
- Wildly adaptable. I can comfortably jump into different or unconventional responsibilities, new skills and industries, and ambiguous or fast-shifting situations. I’m happy as long as I’m challenged (and know why).

DIY music history curriculum
I’m driven by the question: ”How can we, as adults not in school, make learning an intentional and pleasurable part of daily life?”
Ten genres, ten months: Designing my personal music education
The design thinking non-profit I co-founded and directed for 5 years
It started as a Kickstarter-funded tour of schools in the US and grew into a summer camp at Stanford and toolkits for teachers around the world.
